About SoftwareHow
Our Story
SoftwareHow started as a software review site that produces unbiased reviews and practical how-to tutorials. Since its founding in 2016, we have served 12 million users globally and successfully helped them save time exploring the best software and tutorials that fit their needs.
In 2023, we decided to pivot our business model and focus on making our own software products, most of which are free to use without any restrictions. You are probably wondering why we made the switch. Our answer is simple:
We aim to grow as a brand so we can serve and help more readers and customers.
To be a brand, we must have our own products. During the past 7 years, we’ve tested hundreds of software tools and apps. Some are great, some are not. As content creators, we are best at two things: testing products, and understanding user needs.
We often see this situation: people are actively looking for a software solution to solve their problem, but none of the products in the market can fully meet their needs.
Big software companies can see the needs but lack the motivation to create a small product to satisfy the niche needs because it’s very unlikely to be financially sustainable. Small software companies or individual developers usually either lack market insights or don’t understand user needs.
There’s a mismatch here, that’s why we see this as our opportunity. We have a team of content creators who are tech-savvy and skilled in their fields, knowing what new problems or pain points users are having. We also have a team of software designers and developers who can make our product ideas into reality.
Our mission is to help individuals and small businesses be more productive with our amazing small but powerful software apps.
